Running for Rainbows 2022!

Welcome back to another year of Running for Rainbows a venture to raise funds for the Rainbows of Joy Foundation. This is Running for Rainbows’ third fundraising year! In 2019 Louise ran 30 km in the Around the Bay race and in 2021, Louise ran a total of 76 km over 5 months in the 5 Peaks Races.

This year Louise will be participating in her first half Iron Man, May 29, in Victoria BC. Louise will swim 2km, Bike 90km and finish off with a 21km run!

Louise channels her strength from her children, including her son Liam who is one of the most jovial human beings. Liam has Verheij Syndrome and Neurofibromatosis Type 1. Because of these, he experiences many developmental and medical challenges, but he never stops smiling.

Louise discovered the Joy of Learning Centre in 2014 when she enrolled Liam. She since then attributes the programs and people at the Joy of Learning Centre for having helped Liam build confidence and grow like she never thought possible!

All funds raised will go to the Rainbows of Joy which financially supports families to receive the help they need with the therapy provided by the Joy of Learning Centre. Louise hopes to help other families experience the joy of watching their children grow beyond their expectations like Liam has!Â
